This dataset provides the annual fresh cases handled by the State Courts' Court Dispute Resolution (CDR) cluster by case types, from 2015 to 2024.

Notes: (1) Data is accurate as at 31 December 2024. (2) This dataset contains annual fresh cases handled by the State Courts' Court Dispute Resolution (CDR) cluster. The cluster provides court dispute resolution services for a wide range of matters in the State Courts, including civil cases and relational disputes such as harassment and neighbour disputes. (3) This dataset represents a subset of cases from the main State Courts caseload. (4) Writ of Summons is called Originating Claim under the Rules of Court 2021, with effect from 1 April 2022. Writ of Summons under Rules of Court 2014 can continue to be filed after 1 April 2022. (5) Originating Summons is called Originating Application under the Rules of Court 2021, with effect from 1 April 2022. Originating Summons under Rules of Court 2014 can continue to be filed after 1 April 2022. (6) Applications for Protection Order / Non-Publication Order under the Protection from Harassment Act commenced on 15 November 2014. Applications for False Statement Orders came into effect on 1 April 2020, and the Non-Publication Order (NPO) provisions were repealed. The subcategory description was revised to 'Protection from Harassment Court Case' with the operationalisation of the Protection from Harassment Court on 1 June 2021. (7) Community Disputes Resolution Tribunals Claims commenced filing on 1 October 2015.
