2017	School of Interdisciplinary Studies	Certificate in Advanced Engineering Mathematics	This programme is designed to strengthen and broaden mathematics skills in preparation for admission to university. Certificate in Advanced Engineering Mathematics (CAEM) is aligned to H2 A Level Mathematics (2017) Syllabus 9758 and part of H2 Further Mathematics (2017) Syllabus 9649. It is offered to students in the School of Engineering, School of Life Sciences & Chemical Technology and the School of Design & Environment. Upon completion, students applying to NUS are exempted from the foundational math module MA1301. Students will also be considered to have A-level equivalent mathematics and will be allowed to read modules listing A-level mathematics as prerequisite. The program comprises of 8 modules of which, 4 modules are prescribed while the other 4 branches into a statistics and pure mathematics track. The programme consists of 4 compulsory modules: Principles of Management (POM), Understanding Financial Statements (UFS), Starting a Business (SAB), & Business and the Economy (BAE). 2017	School of Interdisciplinary Studies	Certificate in French	IS Foreign Language Courses offer the three Diploma Plus Certificate in French (CIF), the Certificate in Korean (CIK) and the Certificate in Japanese (CIJ). Students will need to complete all four modules, 103, 104, 201 & 202 to acquire the Diploma Plus Certificate. Students will learn how to converse in various everyday situation as well read and write. Students will also have been exposed to French�s rich cultural heritage and developed an appreciation of and sensitivity to another culture.
