Footnotes: Data cover all completed private residential units, i.e. private residential units issued with a Temporary Occupation Permit or a Certificate of Statutory Completion. Data exclude hostels, Housing and Development Board flats, tenement houses, parsonages and Executive Condominiums. With effect from 1st Quarter 1995, the coverage was expanded to include another 44,891 private residential units built before 1974 (comprising 7,206 detached, 10,006 semi-detached, 16,900 terrace and 10,779 apartments). With effect from 2nd Quarter 1996, the coverage was further expanded to include 12,489 apartment units comprising HUDC units which have not been privatised, apartments above shops and privatised apartments previously under the Government Housing Schemes for employees.
