Re-Entry Into Employment Rate, Quarterly

Data from Jan 1997 to Sep 2025

Last updated: 12 Dec 2025, 19:01 SGT

SINGSTAT (Singapore Department of Statistics)

Source: CENTRAL PROVIDENT FUND BOARD, MINISTRY OF MANPOWER

Data Last Updated: 11/12/2025

Update Frequency: Quarterly

Footnotes: 1) The quarterly rates show the rates of re-entry into employment in a quarter for residents made redundant six months ago. 2) Before 2007, data refer to the proportion of residents made redundant by private sector establishments (each with at least 25 employees) who re-entered employment six months post-retrenchment. From 2007, data also include the proportion of residents made redundant by the public sector. From 2010 onwards, the coverage is further expanded to include residents on term contracts which were terminated prematurely because of redundancy. 3) Data on re-entry into employment are cohort-specific. Two different cohorts of workers laid off could yield a different re-entry rate depending on the profile of the workers involved. Also, the data based on CPF records do not capture workers who enter into self or informal employment or undergo training while looking for job.
